Simmone is our Director for Regional Development and has been with the GDC since 2019.
Her portfolios within the Commission are Tourism, Health, Resources and Community Resilience.
Simmone has a history as a successful entrepreneur and small business owner. She has worked in remote and regional communities throughout WA in Local Government roles with a focus on community development.
Simmone is a passionate advocate for the Gascoyne region which she believes is one of the most beautiful regions in Australia. She loves the lifestyle with our small and friendly communities.
Simmone joined the GDC because she believes Regional Development is vital for ensuring that opportunities for development of our young people exist so that we retain our population and avoid the drain of workers to metropolitan centres. She believes in focusing on the Gascoyne’s strengths to maximise the opportunities for our communities.
In her spare time, Simmone likes to get out on the water – fishing or sailing the beautiful Gascoyne coast.
