“It was wonderful to see so many people from the Gascoyne meet in Carnarvon and take advantage of such a great opportunity to showcase the region’” said Tony Beard, Chair, GDC. “Speakers discussed opportunities to grow the regions industries and strengthen the local economy”.

The event also included the launch of the Gascoyne Regional Investment Blueprint by Minister for Regional Development, Hon. Terry Redman MLA. “The blueprint establishes the evidence, framework and strategies for the Gascoyne to grow though informed investment decisions, and to contribute more in a national and global environment.” said Mr. Geoff Strickland, acting Chief Executive Officer, GDC.

The GDC was pleased with the feedback and discussion held over the two days and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with the wider Gascoyne community. Exposure to innovative ideas and information can act as a springboard for all sorts of positive change and GDC looks forward to the development of the Gascoyne region and implementation of the Gascoyne Regional Investment Blueprints.
