You are invited to attend the launch of the new-release report, Growing the north – market opportunities for irrigated agricultural produce from northern Western Australia.

Growing the north was commissioned by the DAFWA Northern irrigation team, to help industry identify the best market opportunities for irrigated agricultural produce from northern WA.

Unlike many investigations, Growing the north is directed at strategic market insights for decision-makers. It helps business owners and investors to answer the question “What should be grown to build business in the most attractive growth-markets?”

The discussion document successfully targets the strategic market research gap between work that businesses routinely perform themselves and the country-level commodity data provided by national statistics agencies.

It identifies agricultural products grown using irrigation, in countries regarded as “climatic peers” to northern WA, connecting these with significant demand in growth-markets and countries. This give us insights into what potential opportunities there are for irrigated agricultural product in northern WA.
