Minor Grant Scheme

The Gascoyne Development Commission also operates a Minor Grants Scheme for grants of up to $3,000. These grants are available at three times during the year.

The Minor Grant Scheme is administered through the GDC operational budget and is available to incorporated not for profit organisations, sporting clubs and local government authorities. Applicants can apply for community based projects that help create healthier, happier communities and a better place to live.

Funds can be expended on capital costs and must be based in the Gascoyne. Projects that demonstrate local partnerships and generally provide ongoing benefits for communities are considered favourably.

Applications for Round 21 of the Minor Grant Scheme closed on 9 September 2009. Round 22 of the Scheme is expected to open in the first quarter of 2010.
